What Are Dental Implants?
A dental implant process is considered a surgical procedure in which a small screw, usually made of titanium, is placed into the jawbone to serve as a substitute for the root of the tooth. An abutment, which acts as a connector, is put on the top of the dental implant to connect it to the replacement tooth. Then, a crown (replacement tooth) is custom fabricated to match your natural teeth, completing the dental implant.
